Title: Divisional Manager, Operations ($10M-$20M) Location: United States-Texas-Corpus Christi Job Number: 2600027E Job Summary: Manages operational support functions. Works in conjunction with the management team to implement store programs, control and reduce operating expenses, and maximize customer service and operational performance. Duties and Responsibilities: - Manages and coordinates store receiving, stocking, customer service, accounting, and front-end operations. Audits policies and procedures to ensure the effectiveness of operations. Supervises associates engaged in a variety of functions, i.e., accounting, janitorial, customer service, etc., engaged in store operational support functions. - Coordinates store staffing requirements and training programs. Develops and maintains work schedules, interviews and hires personnel, and monitors and controls payroll expenses. We ensure an ongoing associate training program is in place, including new associate orientation, customer service, cash handling, merchandising, safety, and loss prevention. - Manages sales audit and cashier cage operation, cash collection, and control. Oversees the collection of accounting data, documents, and reports from operational areas and submission to the appropriate office for processing. - Receives and handles customer complaints; determines the method for resolving the issue. Identifies opportunities for increasing customer service and satisfaction. - Ensures the efficient operation of receiving and stock replenishment functions. - Prepares statistical reports and analysis on controllable expenses, i.e., payroll, supplies, janitorial, etc. Takes action to ensure expenses are managed within budget and aligned with sales trends. - Coordinates and manages main store maintenance and housekeeping requirements. - Carries out the policy of courtesy and customer service. - Performs other related duties as assigned. TRAINING REQUIREMENT: Associates must receive Hazardous Material (HazMat) training within 90 days of hire per Department of Transportation regulations. Qualifications: A total of 5 years, consisting of the following: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience in administrative, professional, investigative, or other responsible work, which enabled the applicant to gain a general knowledge of management practices and administrative processes, skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships, and the ability to exercise mature judgment. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: 1 year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience up to a maximum of a 4 year bachelor s degree for 3 years of general experience. AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 2 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative, supervisory, managerial, professional, or technical work that demonstrated the knowledge of management principles, practices, methods, and techniques. Knowledge of retail and or services merchandising principles, procedures, and a combination of related activities in the areas of accounting, personnel procurement, distribution management, and store operations.
