Position Overview
Job Title: Assembler
Location: Owego, NY
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Duration: 12-Month Consultant Assignment
Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday-Thursday | 4/10 Workweek
As an Assembler , you'll play a key role in the production and assembly of electronic and mechanical components that support innovative aerospace programs. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help ensure products meet exact specifications and performance standards.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:

Perform a variety of production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

Assemble components such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.

Read and interpret diagrams, drawings, and written instructions to complete assembly tasks accurately.

Create initial layouts and prepare components for assembly.

Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

Perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
-
Conduct quality inspections to verify compliance with manufacturing and quality standards.

Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble components as needed.

Assist in testing experimental and prototype assemblies according to specifications and simulated operating conditions.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while meeting production goals.
Required Qualifications

Ability to read and follow diagrams, drawings, and technical instructions.

Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Ability to perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly tasks with accuracy.

Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in electronics, mechanical assembly, aerospace, manufacturing, or production environments.

Experience performing inspections, testing, or quality assurance activities.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
