Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on preventative and reactive maintenance of industrial equipment, performing both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs up to 480V 3-phase. You will support a range of production equipment, including robotics, CNC machinery, forge presses, and material handling systems, to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment, including Fanuc robotics, vision systems, Neotech man machines, CNC machines, machining centers, forge presses, ovens, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, motors, and bearings.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase, ensuring safe and compliant work practices at all times.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and symbols to diagnose issues and guide repairs.

  • Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure equipment is safely de-energized before maintenance or repair work.

  • Use multimeters and other test equipment to diagnose, isolate, and correct electrical failures in control circuits and power systems.

  • Install, wire, and modify control panels, including routing and terminating wiring for motors, switches, and other control devices.

  • Inspect and troubleshoot control circuits, including checking inputs and outputs on PLCs to identify faults and restore proper operation.

  • Perform basic PLC troubleshooting, including reading ladder logic and identifying issues, if experienced in this area.

  • Adjust, repair, and replace mechanical components such as motors, conveyors, bearings, hydraulic units, and pneumatic components to maintain equipment performance.

  • Support robotics systems by troubleshooting and repairing Fanuc robotic equipment and associated control systems.

  • Re-route circuits and adjust controls as needed to improve reliability or restore functionality after failures.

  • Document work performed, including parts used and actions taken, to support maintenance records and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and production staff to prioritize work, minimize downtime, and support safe, efficient operations.

  • Participate in a rotating weekend schedule, including mandatory overtime as required to support production demands.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5+ years of industrial multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.

  • Strong mechanical experience, including troubleshooting and repair of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, and related components.

  • Proven electrical experience working safely with systems up to 480V 3-phase.

  • Ability to perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures correctly and consistently.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, symbols, and blueprints.

  • Proficiency using multimeters and other diagnostic tools for electrical troubleshooting.

  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing Fanuc robotic systems.

  • Ability to diagnose and correct mechanical and electrical issues on complex industrial equipment.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including systematic problem-solving and root cause analysis.

  • Reliable work habits and the ability to maintain consistent attendance and performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.07/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
