Full job description

Summary

Under the direction of the VP Patient Care Services/Director, is responsible for the organization, implementation, development and physician alignment necessary to provide world class emergency services for his/her respective Community Hospital. Directs the delivery of care to all patients served in the Emergency Department assuring patient centered care is provided each and every time. Responsible for achieving administrative, clinical and financial goals established by Parkview Health, and in concert with all Parkview Health partners, service lines, physicians and leadership.

Education

Must have a BSN from accredited program. Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).

Licensure/Certification

Must be a RN licensed in the State of Indiana.

Experience

Must have five years of progressive clinical experience in the emergency department as a minimum or two - three years in a leadership position.

Other Qualifications

Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have the creativity and initiative needed for handling a variety of patient and employee interactions.
