Department Details

The i94 Clinic located in Sanford Medical Center Fargo is looking for a Full Time Pathology Technician to assist with pre-op and outpatient lab draws, while also fulfilling specimen processing duties. This position is vital to patients with upcoming surgical appointments and many other outpatient lab needs.

Work Shift:

Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

60-minute break

No weekends, on-call or holidays

Job Summary

Provide technical assistance in the laboratories. Performs laboratory duties to assist technologists, technicians, pathologists’ assistants and/or pathologists. Handles related equipment including maintenance; cleans work area and stocks supplies. As needed, will assist in reference lab work including packaging, mailing, tracking, and report filing. Expected to train and onboard new employees. Duties include:

Performing phlebotomy and blood collection services to patients of all ages

Preparing at home collection kits

Maintaining appropriate supplies inventory

Charting blood draws

Specimen processing and pathology workbench

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in biology or other related field that includes 30 combined semester hours of biological science and chemistry.

One year previous laboratory experience preferred.
