Job Purpose Summary

This role leads corporate development execution for a global, private equity-backed medical technology company. The Director, Corporate Development partners closely with the Chief Growth and Transformation Officer, CFO, Executive Leadership Team, business unit leaders, and Corza’s private equity sponsor to evaluate and execute the company’s highest-priority inorganic growth and portfolio initiatives. The role spans the full transaction lifecycle – from market and target identification through valuation, diligence, negotiation, approval, and closing – while also supporting divestitures, strategic partnerships, and selected enterprise strategy initiatives. It requires an investor mindset, strong transaction judgment, exceptional financial and analytical capabilities, and the ability to independently drive complex cross-functional workstreams.

What you will do

  • Lead the evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic investments and other corporate development opportunities across Corza’s global portfolio.

  • Own transaction financial analysis, including valuation, operating models, accretion/dilution and returns analyses, scenario modeling, synergy assessment and investment case development.

  • Drive end-to-end transaction processes, coordinating internal functional teams and external advisors across financial, commercial, operational, legal, tax, regulatory, quality, HR and IT diligence.

  • Develop clear investment theses and recommendations for senior management, the Board of Directors and Corza’s private equity sponsor; synthesize complex analyses into decision-oriented executive materials.

  • Partner with business unit and functional leaders to identify, assess and prioritize acquisition targets and other strategic growth opportunities aligned with Corza’s portfolio strategy.

  • Support active portfolio management, including strategic reviews, market assessments, build/buy/partner analyses, divestiture evaluations and other value-creation initiatives.

  • Support transaction negotiations, including letters of intent, purchase agreement economics and key commercial terms, in partnership with Legal and the Executive Leadership Team.

  • Manage relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, target companies, industry participants and other external partners to develop and maintain a high-quality opportunity pipeline.

  • Support integration and separation planning as appropriate, ensuring transaction assumptions, value-creation opportunities, synergies and key risks are clearly transitioned to execution teams.

  • Maintain rigorous transaction processes, pipeline reporting and corporate development analytics, while continuously improving Corza’s tools, templates and approach to deal execution.

  • Provide analytical and strategic support on selected high-priority enterprise initiatives beyond M&A where Corporate Development capabilities can accelerate decision-making and value creation.

  • Support, in partnership with HR, corporate bonus matrix design and achievement modeling; equity management.

What you will need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a related field required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience, with a strong foundation in investment banking, private equity and/or corporate development; prior healthcare or medical technology experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience executing M&A transactions and managing significant portions of the deal lifecycle, including valuation, diligence, investment committee/Board materials and transaction coordination.

  • Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and the ability to independently build and review transaction models.

  • Strong strategic and commercial judgment, including the ability to assess markets, competitive dynamics, growth opportunities, risks and value-creation potential.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop concise, executive-level presentations and communicate effectively with senior executives, Board members, investors and external advisors.

  • High degree of ownership, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail, with the ability to independently manage multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborative, low-ego working style and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with sound judgment and discretion.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as transaction activity requires.
