Job Overview:

The Merchandiser is responsible to research who are our customers, identify our customers’ needs, and map out a merchandise presentation plan for the company. They approach product information from the customer perspective and bring together the teams/departments needed to ensure products are presented to customers in an effective and engaging way. This position conceptualizes the product presentation strategy for the company by determining the parties involved and guiding them through the process.

The Merchandiser will be responsible for researching and compiling market analysis of relevant industry trends to come up with product assortments, potential new markets, and promotional campaigns.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Utilize various means to research and identify areas of weakness in customer experience – Product selection, buying, sales, descriptions, filters, comparisons etc.

• Create a detailed roadmap on how to optimize the product experience enabling all groups of customers to make an informed decision

• Build & lead flexible teams consisting of various divisions such as Buying, Web Content, UX and Web Architecture to work as a group with a unified focus and guide them along the process.

• Develop a uniform product presentation strategy across all customer touchpoints.

• Move B&H into new markets/use-case that support our core categories.

• Highly organized with proven multi-tasking ability.

• Must demonstrate business acumen and analytical skills.

• Ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously and achieve deadlines in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
