Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled technician to join our Data Center Systems team on dayshift. This role focuses on the maintenance and monitoring of critical infrastructure, specifically our high-density self-contained server cabinets and environmental and power monitoring systems, as well as providing support for tenant IT hardware as a part of our Remote Hands service.

Schedule

Work Days: Either Sun-Wed or Wed-Fri with every other Wed off

Shift Length: 12 Hours

Week Length: Alternating 36 hours and 48 hours every week

Time of Day: 7pm - 7am

The work week will consist of 3 days on and 4 days off, followed by 4 days on and 3 days off on an alternating basis.

Core Responsibilities

Monitor, maintain, and act as incident first-response for the high-density water-cooled cabinet system to ensure optimal thermal management.

Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure monitoring systems to maximize system uptime and visibility and ensure SLAs are maintained.

Assist in the development of SCADA graphics and building automation system configuration.

Perform Remote Hands services for tenants, including racking, cabling, and hardware diagnostics.

Conduct routine facility rounds and respond to emergency infrastructure alerts during the night shift.

Provide support for the facility team during maintenance activities and incident response.

Adhere to existing facility operating procedures (MOPs, SOPs, EOPs) and participate in defining and refining new ones.

Salary: 80-90K

Skills and Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in a technical role in data centers or other critical/secure facilities.

Hands-on experience with one or more building automation and/or industrial control systems (Alerton, Niagara N4, Automated Logic, Allen-Bradley, etc)

Experience installing and troubleshooting low-voltage control system wiring.

Working knowledge of network hardware (switches, routers) and IP/networking protocols.

Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders/elevated platforms. Desired Experience

Certification in data center operations or military technical training.

Certification or other experience in cybersecurity principles and best-practices.

Experience and proficiency using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
