Dental Assistant – East Peoria, IL.
Local Pay: $36.00/hour

Shift Details:

Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Prepares treatment rooms and patients for dental procedures.

Assists dentists with instruments, suctioning, and dental materials.
-
Sterilizes and prepares dental instruments and supplies.
-
Takes and develops dental radiographs and prepares study casts.
-
Fabricates temporary restorations and cleans removable appliances.
-
Assists with dental and medical emergencies and maintains CPR certification.
-
Provides oral hygiene and postoperative instructions to patients.
-
Documents dental care and maintains patient confidentiality.
-
Follows infection-control, safety, and sanitation protocols.
-
Maintains dental equipment and supplies and performs other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications **
-
Current, valid, and unrestrictedIL license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
-
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
-
Six months of hands-on experience as a Dental Assistant.

Six (6) hour x-ray training certification.
-
CPR card.
-
Nitrous oxide certification; Coronal polishing certification.

Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
