The Clinical Dietitian role with the Department of Human Services (DHS) lets you take the lead in creating strong nutritional support for individuals at the Selinsgrove Center. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides nutritional care and evaluation for individuals living at the Selinsgrove Center, using professional judgment to support health and safety. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will perform the following duties:

  • Nutritional Assessment: Complete new admission and annual evaluations, including physician ordered nutritional consults

  • Care Recommendations: Provide nutrition guidance and make recommendations to physicians to support individual health needs

  • Record Management: Maintain current diet records and document nutritional actions in charts, files, and computerized systems

  • Menu Oversight: Use nutritional software to manage diet consistency, menu changes, and food modifications for therapeutic needs

  • Supply Coordination: Assess and update snack, nourishment, condiment, fruit, and vegetable schedules for living areas

  • Clinical Guidance: Provide instructions and training to staff and cooks on therapeutic diet preparation, participate in Individual Support Plan (ISP) meetings, and contribute to dysphagia management through committee involvement

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Overtime and travel as needed

  • Free parking

  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

  • You must possess active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) as issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, or proof of eligibility for such certification.
