We’re looking for a Direct Support Manager to join our team!

This position’s primary focus is to coordinate and direct operations of our Residential and/or Day Services Program. This includes scheduling of staff, implementing program plans, and coordinating appointments and activities for the individuals served.

What you’ll do:

Bring valuable insights, institutional knowledge, and assistance to members of the direct support team.Demonstrate and train team members to interact with the people we serve in an emotionally supportive and therapeutic manner.Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the residential facility and vehicles, ensuring all living environments and program activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standardsProvide guidance and assist with emergency situations on an on-call basisManage petty cash funds and other financial accounts, as well as the purchasing of groceries and supplies.Maintain medical, social and programmatic files with detailed and accurate documentation

Schedule: Generally Day Hours Monday-Friday/some nights/some weekends/some on call responsibilities/flexibility required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Special Education or a related field.

  • Experience accepted in lieu of education.

  • Minimum of three years of related work experience, with one year of supervisory or management experience.

  • Previous experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. May require CPR and First Aid certification.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Certification in CPR and First Aid required.

  • State of Connecticut- DDS Medication Certification Card or the ability to obtain

  • State of Connecticut- Valid driver's license, vehicle registration and current vehicle insurance declaration

  • MANDT certification may be required for certain states
