Enterprise Float Registered Nurse (RN)

Up to $30,000 Commitment Incentive

Position Summary

eHospitalHire is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in the eastern portion of North Carolina to identify experienced Registered Nurses for an Enterprise Float Pool opportunity.

The Enterprise Float RN provides high-quality patient care across multiple hospitals, campuses, and clinical areas within the healthcare system. Based on experience and clinical capabilities, nurses will be assigned to support various levels of care, including their highest qualified area of practice and additional units as needed.

This role requires flexibility and adaptability, including same-day staffing assignments, working across multiple units during a single shift, and floating between designated locations to meet patient care needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care while promoting a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Complete comprehensive initial and ongoing patient and family assessments.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care based on patient needs.

  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to establish realistic and measurable goals.

  • Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the care journey.

  • Implement evidence-based nursing interventions appropriate to the patient's condition and needs.

  • Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and modify care plans as needed.

  • Participate in safety initiatives, daily team communication, and quality improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or higher required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience required.

  • At least one (1) year of experience in the highest level of care practiced.

  • Current North Carolina RN license or eligibility to practice through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.

  • National Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 12 weeks of hire.

  • Ability to maintain scheduling flexibility to support 24/7 patient care needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous travel nursing or float pool experience preferred.

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $34.00 - $51.98/hour

Pay is determined based on total years of nursing experience. Enterprise Float RNs are classified into tiers based on their ability to support multiple levels of care within their assigned region.

Up to $30,000 Commitment Incentive Available

Float Pool Tier Differentials

  • Tier I: 20% above base pay (qualified to support one level of care)

  • Tier II: 25% above base pay (qualified to support two levels of care)

  • Tier III: 30% above base pay (qualified to support three levels of care)

Additional Shift Differentials

Eligible team members may receive:

  • Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM): $3.50/hour

  • Night Shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM): $5.00/hour

  • Weekend Differential: $10.00/hour
