About the Role We're hiring our a Talent Lead to build Squint's recruiting function from the ground up.
You'll own full-cycle recruiting for priority roles across the company while building the systems, process, and employer brand that let Squint compete for talent in a crowded AI market. This is a builder's role: part hands-on recruiter, part function architect.
What You’ll Do
-
Recruit, hands-on: You'll run full-cycle recruiting — sourcing, screening, closing — for some of Squint's most important open roles, across Engineering, GTM, and beyond.
-
Build the machine: You'll stand up the process, tooling (ATS, scorecards, interview training), and metrics that let Squint hire well as we scale, not just hire fast.
-
Partner with hiring managers: You'll translate fuzzy headcount plans into clear hiring strategies and calibrated bars, and coach hiring managers and interviewers along the way.
-
Build the brand: You'll sharpen how Squint shows up to candidates — on LinkedIn, at events, in every recruiting conversation — so the best people want to work here.
-
Lay the groundwork for People: Where it makes sense, you'll extend into broader People Ops — onboarding, systems, early performance processes — as Squint's People function takes shape.
About you
-
You've built a recruiting function before, not just staffed one.
-
You move fast, but you don't cut corners on candidate experience or hiring bar.
-
You're comfortable partnering directly with founders and executives on their most important hires.
-
You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building process where none exists yet.
What You’ll Bring
-
6+ years of recruiting experience, including experience building or scaling a recruiting function at a high-growth startup.
-
A track record of full-cycle recruiting across technical and go-to-market roles.
-
Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience partnering with senior leaders.
-
Familiarity with modern recruiting/ATS tooling (Ashby, Greenhouse, or similar).
Benefits Based out of our office in San Francisco, we love the energy of in-person collaboration.
