1.0Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
1.1Responding to any emergency or potential emergency.
1.2Security diligence, including maintaining control of personal key cards, preventing unauthorized entry to the facility by non-Amcor employees, and proper maintenance / security of Amcor information and equipment within your direct responsibility.
1.3Constant vigilance and participation in Food Safety practices.
1.4Prevent nonconforming product from being shipped to customers.
1.5Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality system.
2.0Authority, including but not limited to:
2.1Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any non-conformity of product or quality systems.
2.2Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
2.3Suggest actions for continual improvement to products, processes, or systems and verify the implementation of solutions.
3.0Primary Duties, including but not limited to:
3.1Observe all Safety precautions, Food Safety requirements and Plant rules to prevent injury to self or others and to prevent loss of material or damage to equipment.
3.2Follow and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
3.3Maintain good housekeeping and 5S.
3.4Trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aspects of production equipment.
3.5Performs preventative maintenance in the facility, infrastructure, and equipment.
3.6Able to keep records of work completed in work order system and communicate within the department and other departments.
3.7Maintains safe, clean, and orderly work areas.
3.8Perform routine and assigned railcar and chemical systems maintenance.
3.9Diagnose equipment problems and make repairs and/or replacements of mechanisms such as tie rods, solenoid valves, sprue bushings, nozzle heaters, conveyor belts, drives, low voltage, and high voltage electrical systems.
3.10Able to understand and follow food safety requirements per the SQF standard.
4.0QUALIFICATIONS / Education Required:
4.1Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
4.2Maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
4.3High school diploma or GED equivalency.
4.4Read, write and speak English.
4.5Past experience / proven ability within the specified disciplines.
4.6Negative drug screen test results.
4.7Training required in one or more major areas of maintenance and/or 1-2 years of experience.
4.8Possess functional knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair/maintenance on manufacturing equipment with one year minimum practical application.
4.9Possess basic knowledge and ability to use hand tools.
4.10Basic computer skills, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes.
4.11Able to pass the mechanical aptitude test.
5.0Preferred Skills / Experience:
5.1Powerpoint and AutoCAD are a plus but not required.
5.2Programming experience preferred.
5.3Working knowledge of PLC's beneficial.
