Head of System Engineering

Scope: Full time

Reporting to: VP R&D

What will You do?

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Systems Engineers and Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineers.

  • Oversee a full development cycle process of a multidisciplinary system.

  • Implement, guide and enhance system engineering and verification methodologies.

  • Build and manage multi-project development working plans.

  • Control system requirements settings with traceability to MRD.

  • Develop and proof a complex, cross-functional system containing Robotic, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Algorithm aspects.

  • Explore and define solutions and architectures through methodological system engineering tools and know-how’s, in a lean fashion.

  • Collaborate with the research, engineering, operations, procurement, and NPI teams.

  • Coordinate with clients’ engineering teams and management to ensure efficient implementation and deployment of the product.

Requirements ● At least overall 10 years of experience in multidisciplinary systems development, and in systems engineering/project management.

  • At least 5 years of experience managing a team of Systems Engineers and V&V Engineers.

  • Proven ability and experience in direct people management and leading development processes in a matrix environment.

  • Experience with multidisciplinary products (mechanics, electronics, software, communication, motion, computer vision, machine learning, etc.) - must.

  • Familiarity with Lean development methodology and processes is a strong advantage

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical (preferred) or mechanical engineering - required, Master's degree - an advantage

  • Ability to learn quickly and analyze complex topics.

  • At least two years working in a start-up/product company.

  • Teamwork, creativity, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and motivate employees and colleagues.
