The BAE Systems team in Aiken, South Carolina, is seeking a VT Level II Inspector to join its organization. As a VT Level II Inspector, you'll support our weld manufacturing and fabrication operation. In this role, you will support a standard schedule of Monday-Thursday, 4/10 (4 days, 10 hours per day) 3:15 PM to 1:45 AM
As a VT Level II Inspector, you will perform duties including the following:
Read and work to blueprints.
Inspect weldments to various weld codes.
Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.
Process non-conformances for disposition.
Provide technical quality support to production and engineering.
Perform welding inspections. (VT, MT, PT)
Work Schedule:
Mon - Thurs 3:15PM to 1:45AM
Total of 40 hours per week, on a 4/10 schedule.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Typically requires a High School diploma with two years of related quality/NDT/weld experience, or the overall equivalent

ASNT VT Level II certified OR hands-on welding experience

Experience inspecting weldments to various code requirements

Ability to read, interpret and work to blueprints

Working knowledge in GD&T principles and applications

Ability to read and comprehend raw material specifications
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Oracle MRP system experience preferred

Proficient with First Article inspection preparations.

Writing inspection plans

Laser Scanner inspection technology experience preferred

GD&T experience preferred

Quality Tools knowledge and experience

Proficient using MS Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $52108 - $83373
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
