Full job description

Avania are hiring - Project Coordinator

About the role - Project Coordinator

We’re looking for a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of clinical research projects across Europe. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is organized, collaborative, and eager to build a career in the CRO industry.

You’ll begin with core project administration and coordination, working with experienced colleagues as you develop your skills in timeline management, cross-functional facilitation, training coordination, and project financials. Over time, the role may also support smaller single-service projects.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, agendas, meeting minutes, and action, decision, and issue logs.

  • Support the development and ongoing management of project timelines.

  • Help facilitate discussions and follow-up across cross-functional teams.

  • Assign and track required training, with guidance as you learn the relevant processes and systems.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and support work within Trial Master File systems.

  • Build an understanding of project financials and provide basic budgeting support as your experience grows.

  • Support selected single-service work, which may include minor budget administration and reviewing or approving timesheets.

  • Communicate progress, risks, actions, and decisions clearly to project stakeholders.

Candidates who offer a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience listed below are encouraged to apply. With our continued growth we are hiring talent to join us on our journey and grow with us.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office tools and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.

  • An interest in clinical research and developing a career within a CRO environment.

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, follow through on actions, and work effectively with support from more experienced team members.

Helpful experience

  • Previous experience in a CRO, clinical research, or a related life sciences environment.

  • Experience as a Clinical Research Associate, through an industry internship or placement, or in an academic research setting.

  • Familiarity with a Trial Master File or electronic Trial Master File system.

  • Exposure to meeting coordination, project administration, training systems, timelines, or basic financial processes.

Industry experience is helpful but not essential. We’re open to candidates moving from academia into industry, as well as recent graduates who have completed a relevant internship or industrial placement.
