SCHEDULE: Night Shift

As a US FOODS® Loader, you load all the outbound orders into the designated tractor trailers in compliance with company procedures and standards. This makes sure the drivers have the product safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency for the day’s deliveries . Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Related Experience: A minimum of one year warehouse experience preferred.

  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Pallet jack experience; Good attention to detail; Ability to read load diagrams; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.

MAIN INGREDIENTS

Great Loaders are crucial to the US FOODS® team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our loaders strive for integrity and reliability, while building trusting relationships with our team.

  • Conduct trailer inspection before loading to insure trailer is clean, has the proper temperature and is ready for loading.

  • Ensure all pallets are built according to stops and are securely wrapped to avoid damage during transport.

  • Verify header labels on all pallets and check for damaged or outdated product before loading.

  • Load trailer, ensuring bulkheads are placed correctly and are secured. Also, confirm load diagram is completed and submitted.

  • Follow all safety work practices and maintain clean and orderly dock area.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $22.05/hour and $22.05/hour.

As applicable, this role will also receive: overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, and Freezer premium.
