Full job description
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Cook, you will be essential to patient, staff, and visitor well-being by preparing high-quality, safe, and delicious meals, including those for multiple therapeutic diets. You will meticulously adhere to all state and federal food preparation regulations in a healthcare environment.
Every day you will follow safe cooking techniques, execute recipes with precision, and apply rigorous quality control to ensure consistent food quality and adherence.
To be successful in this role, you will possess proven experience in high-volume food preparation, a strong understanding of food safety and therapeutic diets, and a commitment to culinary excellence within a fast-paced setting.

Handles and prepares food in accordance with food safety regulations.

Plans cooking schedule to ensure that food will be ready at designated times and not too far in advance.

Reviews menus and census to determine types and quantities of food to be prepared for all.

Uses and adjusts standardized recipes.

Acts as charge person in the kitchen in the absence of the supervisor.

Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.
We are offering a $1,500 Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care, assisted and residential living communities, community health services organizations, home health agencies, and numerous outpatient facilities.
Pay Range
$16.50 - $23.30 /hour
