Responsibilities Performs routine histological functions of receiving, preparing, and processing surgical specimens for patients.

 

Qualifications REQUIRED

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education

  • Current HT/HTL certification through American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) OR must be ASCP eligible AND must pass exam within 18 months of obtaining eligibility.

  • All applicants must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test.  

 

PREFERRED

 

  • Immuno-chemistry experience and/or training.

  • B.S. degree in science, plus successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program.

  • Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good written and oral communication skills.  

Work Hours: 9:00am-5:30pm
