Your role The System Architect will be responsible for defining and driving system architecture for next-generation AI-powered robotics and intelligent automation platforms within Aptiv's Adjacent Markets business. The role will bridge customer requirements, product strategy, systems engineering, perception technologies, AI/ML solutions, software platforms, and safety requirements to deliver scalable intelligent systems for industrial and non-automotive applications. The architect will work closely with software, perception, AI/ML, systems, hardware, safety, and program teams to create robust, scalable, and safety-compliant solutions leveraging Aptiv's expertise in sensing, compute, connectivity, and intelligent edge technologies System Architecture Leadership · Define end-to-end system architectures for intelligent automation and robotics solutions. · Develop system decomposition, capability maps, and interface definitions. · Drive architectural decisions across sensing, compute, networking, software, and AI domains. · Establish technology roadmaps aligned with business and customer needs. Requirements Engineering · Translate customer and market requirements into system-level requirements. · Manage requirement allocation and traceability across subsystems. · Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation. AI & Intelligent Perception Architecture · Define architectures involving: Vision-based perception Radar-based sensing Sensor fusion AI/ML-driven decision systems Navigation and localization solutions · Support integration of perception and machine learning technologies into scalable platforms. Functional Safety & Reliability · Work with safety teams to establish safety goals and system-level safety concepts. · Ensure architecture supports applicable functional safety and industrial safety requirements. · Drive failure mode analysis and fault-tolerant system design. Your Background Technical Skills A graduate in BE/B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech (Electricals/Electronics/ Instrumentation) An experience of 10-15 years in Automotive System Engineering/Architecture. Strong knowledge in several of the following: · Systems Engineering (INCOSE-based methodologies preferred) · Requirements Management · SysML/UML Modeling · Embedded Systems · Sensor Fusion · AI/ML Systems · Robotics Platforms · ADAS or Autonomous Systems Desired · Experience in Robotics and Industrial Automation. · Experience with Computer Vision applications. · Familiarity with Functional Safety (ISO 26262, IEC 61508 or equivalent). · Experience with AI-enabled perception architectures. · Tools like EA, JIRA, Polarion, etc. Why Join Aptiv You grow at Aptiv.
