Job Duties

Capitol View Transitional Care Center is a state-of-the-art true transitional care unit (TCU) located in Regions Hospital (we are part of the HealthPartners organization as a separate nonprofit organization.) We provide quality care to patients from 18+ years of age who are in need of a short-term stay. Our average length of stay is 17 days. Come join our team as a Nursing Assistant and see how rewarding and fun work can be in a TCU!

As a Nursing Assistant you will provide quality care to 6-9 patients a day. The job duties and responsibilities include:

*Maintain communication by informing the nurse in charge of significant changes in a patient's status.

*Provide all necessary direct services to patients which include, but are not limited to giving scheduled showers/baths, water pass and nourishment, passing trays and assisting with feeding as needed, recording food and fluid intake and output, assisting with patient personal laundry, rounding on patients regularly, charting, completing room set-up for new patient admission etc.

*Answering calls lights promptly

*Stocking Supplies accordingly (gloves, blankets etc.).

*Performs other duties as assigned.

FTE: 0.0; Per Diem/Casual

Work Schedule: Required to work a minimum of 4 shifts per month - 2 shifts must be a weekend shift.

Salary: Starting rate at $20.59/hour. Pay rate is based off previous nursing assistant work experience.

Required Qualifications:

*Must be on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry and must maintain current certification.

*Completion of a Nursing Assistant Course

*Must be able to attend and have reliable transportation to and from HealthPartners' Nursing Orientation in Bloomington on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am-430pm.
