Job Title: TIG Welder Job Description
This full-time, first-shift TIG Welder role focuses on precision welding of thin sheet metal, specifically stainless steel and cold rolled steel, in an assembly line environment. The position requires strong technical welding skills, the ability to pass a flat TIG weld test on both stainless and cold rolled steel, and the physical capability to work safely and efficiently in a fabrication shop.
Responsibilities

Perform TIG welding on thin sheet metal, including stainless steel and cold rolled steel, with a high level of accuracy and consistency.

Pass and maintain competency in a flat TIG weld test on stainless steel and cold rolled steel as part of the qualification process.

Fabricate and assemble metal medical-grade cabinets according to specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

Work efficiently on an assembly line, meeting production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Inspect welds and finished components to ensure they meet required quality and structural integrity standards.

Use appropriate welding techniques, tools, and equipment while following established procedures and best practices.

Wear and properly use full welding gear, including protective clothing and equipment, at all times in the weld shop.

Handle and move materials and finished products, including lifting up to 50+ pounds as needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in a large open industrial environment.

Follow all safety guidelines, shop rules, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Essential Skills

Previous TIG welding experience of at least 6+ months.

Demonstrated ability to TIG weld stainless steel and cold rolled steel, particularly thin sheet metal.

Ability to successfully pass a flat TIG weld test on stainless steel and cold rolled steel.

Reliable attendance and strong job tenure, demonstrating commitment and dependability.

Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks.

Capability to meet the physical demands of working in an assembly line and weld shop environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience fabricating metal components, particularly medical-grade cabinets or similar products.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
