About the role

Application of basic engineering principles, theory and concepts. Performs basic engineering tasks requiring application of learned techniques. Duties are designed to provide development and familiarization with the engineering staff, methods, practices, and programs. Tasks performed may include tabulation and correlation of data, performing calculations, analysis, writing reports, drawing and specification preparation, component selection, and input to task planning and scheduling. Propose solutions of more complicated engineering problems. Communicate with customer’s on a regular basis.

Compensation: $85,000-$110,000

Annual Broad Based Bonus: 15%

What you will be doing

  • Applies standard practices and techniques as needed, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, performs root cause analysis and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.

  • Proficient knowledge of Southco manufacturing processes, techniques, materials, finishes, documentation systems, CAD system, and business system.

  • Participate, contribute and complete assigned team acitivites.

  • Complete project assignments and accountabilities on schedule and on budget.

  • Complete training to facilitate accurate and efficient accomplishment of job duties.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Business a plus

  • Demonstrated track record of successful project completion/implementation

  • 2-5 Years experience in a Manufacturing or Design environment

  • Experience with programming and automation tools

  • Operation of Vision Measuring Machines (VMM) and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)

  • Conducting dimensional inspections and product validation activities to support new product development preferred
