Full job description

Alif Semiconductor is revolutionizing the way secure connected AI-enabled embedded solutions are created. We are looking for motivated individuals who want to be involved in a fast-paced environment with cutting-edge technology.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Product Engineer to join our dynamic semiconductor engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing new product introductions, ensuring product quality, yield optimization, and driving improvements across the manufacturing lifecycle. This role requires strong technical acumen in semiconductor processes and product engineering, as well as excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to high-volume production at OSAT.
  • Collaborate with design, process, and test engineering teams to ensure DFM/DFT alignment and manufacturability.
  • Develop product characterization and qualification plans to meet industry and customer requirements.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for yield excursions, quality issues, and field returns.
  • Optimize test programs and methodologies to improve yield, reduce test time, and ensure reliability.
  • Analyse production data (WAT, CP, FT,) and statistical process control (SPC) to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Own and drive cost reduction initiatives (e.g., yield enhancement, test time reduction, package optimization).
  • Manage product documentation, including specifications, BOMs, and production release documents.
  • Support customer audits, failure analysis, and provide technical responses to customer inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–10+ years of relevant experience in product engineering within the semiconductor industry.
  • Solid understanding of wafer fabrication, assembly, and test processes.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Python, SQL, Excel) and statistical techniques (DOE, SPC, GR&R).
  • Familiarity with Advantest 93K test platforms and probe/test data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven, structured approach to issue resolution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally with global teams.
  • Knowledge of quality and reliability standards (e.g., AEC-Q100, JEDEC, ISO/TS 16949) is a plus.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in microcontroller and processor ICs.
  • Familiarity with failure analysis techniques (e.g., SEM, X-ray, FA labs).
  • Experience working with OSATs and global manufacturing supply chains.
  • Experience support NPI activities overseas.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a fast-growing start-up and innovative semiconductor company.
  • Work on cutting-edge technology with global exposure.
  • Competitive compensation and career development opportunities.
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.
