Job Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery. The PTA helps implement treatment plans, monitors patient progress, progress as they see fit, provides therapeutic exercises, manual therapy and all other therapy services within their scope of practice. The PTA ensures patient comfort and safety throughout therapy sessions while providing a WOW experience. This role plays a crucial part in improving patient mobility, reducing pain, and helping individuals regain independence in their daily activities. This role should expect for daily schedule changes based on clinic and patient needs to allow for increased flexibility for our community. This role is essential to helping Empower, empower the community to getting back to the things they love.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program

  • Current Alaska licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant

  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Passion for outdoor adventure and willingness to embrace the unique challenges and rewards of living in Alaska
