Full job description
Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Packaging Operator to join their team. As a Packaging Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the packaging line operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Packaging Operator
Location: East Durham, NY
Pay Range: $24.75/hr
Shift: 12-hour shifts, 2/2/3 rotation, 7pm-7:30am
What's the Job?

Operate state-of-the-art fully automated toothpaste packaging lines operating at speeds up to 450 tubes per minute

Handle packaging materials including cases, cartons, shippers, labels, wrap, slip sheets, caps, corners, pallets, and finished goods

Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment to ensure optimal performance

Perform autonomous maintenance activities to keep the lines running efficiently

Assist maintenance technicians with preventive maintenance activities and conduct inventories of packaging materials and products
What's Needed?

High school diploma or GED
-
Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends

Basic computer skills such as data entry, email, and Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to perform frequent quality checks and document results accurately

Understanding of safety and compliance procedures in manufacturing environments
