As an EHS Manager, you will collaborate with skilled professionals to drive growth while prioritizing safety and quality. You will champion Siemens Energy programs, including Zero Harm, Technical Safety, Environmental Compliance, and Sustainability, ensuring that we meet and exceed Corporate, Local, and Federal requirements. How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will develop and manage comprehensive EHS programs, implementing best practices and continuous improvement processes tailored for Siemens Energy.

  • Lead all operational aspects of the site EHS program as part of an Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy standards and business objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify resource needs and reduce employee exposure to risks, enhancing overall safety and compliance.

  • Drive initiatives that increase employee engagement and improve environmental performance, aligning with the long-term goals of the organization.

  • Provide guidance to the Emergency Medical Technicians and Emergency Response Team, ensuring preparedness and effective response strategies.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in an EHS leadership role within heavy manufacturing, with a strong preference for experience in the power generation industry, particularly fossil and nuclear sectors.

  • A BS degree in a technical field is required; a master’s degree in an EHS-related field or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards, with a proven ability to develop and drive strategic EHS direction.

  • Familiarity with OSHA, Worker’s Compensation, EPA, RCRA, NFPA, FM Global, and DOT regulations and their implications for business operations.

  • Strong experience in root cause assessments, hazardous waste management, and training within a heavy manufacturing environment, particularly with large rotating equipment and safety protocols.

  • This position may require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position.

  • Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
