Full job description

Role Overview :

We perform thorough performance testing on our hardware and software (FGT/VM) using top-tier traffic generators such as Keysight BreakingPoint, VIAVI Avalanche, and CyberFlood. A custom automation framework is employed to run these tests and share the results with our Systems Engineering (SE) community.

In addition to lab testing and delivering results, we also:

  • Offer general technical support to pre-Sales Teams.
  • Assist with remote field-based Proof of Concept (POC) activities.
  • Contribute to RFP responses.
  • Provide design expertise and support to the field.

We seek a network engineer with strong knowledge of computer physics (system performance aspects like interrupts, context switching, as well as routing or packet processing). A solid understanding of system internals or Wireshark is essential. Experience with RFC3511 and RFC9411, testing using Spirent and/or BreakingPoint/Keysight, or familiarity with Fortigate/FOS is required.

Technical Requirements:

  • Virtualization & Scripting: Skilled in KVM and ESXi environments, including scripting for test deployment.
  • Networking & Systems: Comprehensive knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, L2 switching, and routing protocols. Experience with Fortigate and VM environments is highly desirable.
  • Performance Analysis: Capable of analyzing system behavior under load using tools like mpstat, top, or htop.
  • Industry Standards: Familiarity with RFC 2544 and RFC 9411. Experience with Spirent, Keysight, or VIAVI tools is a strong advantage.

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
