Description:
Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Sr. Director of Deployment & Quality Assurance will provide strategic leadership for ImageTrend's Deployment and Quality Assurance organizations, ensuring the reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of products and services across the portfolio. This role will drive operational excellence, scalability, and continuous improvement while overseeing deployment operations and advancing enterprise-wide quality practices.
This role will also lead the transformation of Quality Assurance through expanded test automation, applied AI capabilities, and modern quality engineering practices to strengthen product quality, accelerate release cycles, increase and scale testing efficiency, and support the growth of ImageTrend's high-availability SaaS platform. The Sr. Director will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Customer Operations, and executive leadership to build high-performing teams, drive organizational maturity, and deliver exceptional customer and business outcomes.
The role is currently defined as a Senior Director position, with flexibility to assess title and organizational scope based on the selected candidate's experience and demonstrated leadership impact
What You'll Do:
Lead enterprise deployment operations across all product lines, including CI/CD pipeline strategy, release management, infrastructure-as-code practices, and deployment processes, ensuring secure, scalable, highly available environments and minimizing customer impact during releases and system updates
Direct and develop Deployment, Systems Engineering, Database Administration, and Quality Assurance teams to support cloud and on-premise environments, strengthen operational excellence, and ensure reliable delivery of products and services across the portfolio
Drive the transformation of the Quality Assurance function by establishing an automation-first testing strategy, expanding automated test coverage, reducing regression testing cycles, implementing staging and performance testing environments, and leveraging AI-assisted testing capabilities to improve quality, efficiency, and defect detection
Oversee internal technology operations, including business application provisioning, employee systems, networks, endpoint management, security controls, infrastructure capacity planning, cost optimization initiatives, and technology vendor relationships to support organizational performance, scalability, and security requirements
Establish and monitor operational and quality performance standards, including SLAs, SLOs, uptime, deployment frequency, change failure rates, quality metrics, testing effectiveness, incident response, and other key performance indicators to support business objectives and continuous improvement
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and Technology leadership to embed quality and reliability practices throughout the software development lifecycle, promote shift-left testing methodologies, and ensure alignment between business priorities and technology delivery
Partner with Security, Compliance, and Technology leaders to ensure infrastructure, deployment processes, and quality practices support organizational security, privacy, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, workforce planning, organizational design, and technology investments, ensuring resources, tools, and processes effectively support business growth and operational objectives
Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, and resiliency strategies to ensure business-critical systems remain available, secure, and recoverable
Establish and evolve operating models, governance structures, decision-making processes, service ownership expectations, and accountability frameworks across Deployment and Quality Assurance functions
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement while mentoring leaders and team members, establishing clear ownership models, and promoting effective cross-functional partnership across Deployment, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Product organizations
Communicate deployment, operational, and quality strategies, performance metrics, risks, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives to executive leadership and key stakeholders, providing visibility into progress, outcomes, and future opportunities
Travel to orientation, industry or company events, or other onsite meetings as required
Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; advanced degree preferred
Strategic progressive experience leading technology organizations across DevOps, Infrastructure, Architecture, Engineering, Deployment Operations, and/or Quality Assurance, including experience in senior leadership roles, preferably within SaaS, healthcare technology, or other highly regulated software environments
Proven experience leading and developing managers, senior technical leaders, and cross-functional teams within complex technology organizations
Demonstrated success leading and scaling technical operations and quality assurance functions, including driving organizational transformation, operational excellence, reliability, and software quality initiatives
Proven experience supporting high-availability SaaS applications and mission-critical customer environments with demonstrated success driving operational reliability and platform scalability
Strong experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code practices, deployment operations, database administration, and modern software delivery methodologies
Working knowledge of AI-driven technologies, automation tools, and machine learning-enabled practices applicable to deployment operations, quality assurance, testing, and engineering effectiveness
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, establish operational metrics, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional initiatives that support business growth and organizational objectives
Strong executive level communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and effectively partner across Product, Engineering, Security, Operations, and other business functions
Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information
Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills
Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration, and team orientation
Ability to travel as required, up to 20%

Position Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this full-time role is $140,000 - $200,000 USD + bonus + benefits + perks + community gains. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
