Job Summary:

Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of buildings or areas. Duties include picking up trash, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning and restocking bathrooms, cleaning windows and executing minor repairs and maintenance work. Depending on the job, Custodians may be required to operate industrial cleaning equipment and machinery. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends. May assist with the onboarding and mentoring of new employees and/or complete special projects.

Job Description:

$1,500 sign on bonus available for limited time.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior and exterior of the building looking clean and professional

  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned

  • Work independently and seek assistance as needed

  • May assist with the onboarding and mentoring of new employees and/or complete special projects

  • Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the facility management team

  • Adhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment for everyone

  • Help maintain user manuals for cleaning equipment, office furniture and fixtures that can be referred to when needed

  • Respond to general assembly and repair requests quickly and with a professional manner

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification :

  • Minimum 17 years of age and a high school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in a high school program in good standing, or up to 3 years general building maintenance experience; ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed.

Preferred Qualification :

  • High School Diploma with up to 3 years of janitorial/building maintenance experience

  • Ability to exercise discretion

  • Ability to make time-sensitive decisions

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Basic deductive reasoning skills

  • Proficient active listening skills

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $16.55 - $24.80

This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.

Benefits:

The Company offers the following benefits for full-time positions, subject to applicable eligibility requirements, as may be in effect from time to time: medical benefit, dental benefit, vision benefit, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, paid time off commensurate with tenure (includes vacation and sick time), six weeks of paid maternity leave along with two weeks of paid parental leave, and six paid holidays annually.
