As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Gloucester, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a technology-focused location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, exterior perimeter, parking areas, access points, and other designated locations to help identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.

Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.

Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
-
Experience working at a primarily driving post is preferred.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
-
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
