Full job description
Performs a variety of duties in support of departmental operations within Sample Entry, Prep, and the lab to ensure that samples are moved accurately and efficiently between departments.

Demonstrate and promotes the company vision

Regular attendance and punctuality

Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
-
Move samples on a regular basis to the assigned location between Sample Prep, Lab and Microbiology
-
Monitor sample location bins in various lab areas and sample prep
-
Proactively communicates any issues and concerns about sample movements to the supervisor or lab leaders
-
Ensuring every barcode is scanned and the sample has the correct location assigned

Occasionally work in sample disposal area
-
Communicates discrepancies to appropriate personnel.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent.
-
Working knowledge of computers
-
Experience with attention to detail
-
Ability to work in a fast paced enviroment
-
Ability to walk/stand the majority of the day

Ability to identify and communicate customer service needs

Strong communicator

Ability to learn new tasks

Ability to think critically and solve problems quickly and efficiently

Overtime and weekend work as required.

Will be exposed to potential food allergens (ex. Milk, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, etc.).

Physical requirements include, but not are limited to, walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting. May work in walk-in cold storage units.

Expected to understand the process for handling hazardous wastes and receive on-the-job training for handling specific waste types in their job area.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for short periods of time.
