We have an Excellent career opportunity for aQuality Assurance Managerto join a leading Company located inJacksonville, IL.

Salary: $80,000 to $110,000

W e are seeking an experienced and strategic Quality Manager to lead and continuously improve our Quality Management System (QMS) within a fast-paced printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for building a scalable, compliance-driven quality organization that supports operational excellence and expansion into highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities :

  • Quality Strategy & Leadership

  • Own and evolve the site-wide Quality Management System to ensure scalability, compliance, and operational excellence.

  • Align quality strategy with business growth initiatives, including expansion into regulated markets such as automotive, medical, and aerospace/defense.

  • Lead all internal and external audits, ensuring readiness, compliance, and effective closure of findings.

  • Establish and track key quality metrics (e.g., PPM, scrap, rework, COPQ) to drive accountability and performance.

  • Champion a preventive quality culture using tools such as PFMEA, control plans, and SPC.

  • Quality Systems & Data Management

  • Lead the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the ERP quality module (e.g., PLEX or equivalent).

  • Ensure data integrity and leverage analytics to drive decision-making.

  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into quality performance and risks.

  • Train cross-functional teams on quality systems and best practices.

  • Supplier & Customer Quality

  • Build and manage a robust supplier quality program, including qualification, auditing, and corrective action processes.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.

  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes to eliminate recurrence.

  • Operational Quality Oversight

  • Ensure effective inspection, testing, and nonconformance management systems across all production stages.

  • Oversee containment, quarantine, and disposition of nonconforming materials.

  • Support production teams in resolving complex, real-time quality issues.

  • Team Leadership & Culture

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Quality team.

  • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and growth pathways for team members.

  • Promote organization-wide quality awareness and adherence to IPC and industry standards.

  • Communicate quality, performance, and initiatives clearly to all levels of the organization.

Basic Hiring Criteria :

  • Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing quality, ideally in electronics or EMS environments.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading quality teams with direct management responsibility.

  • Proven success in developing and managing a QMS, including ISO 9001 certification ownership.

  • Strong working knowledge of IPC standards (Class I, II, III) and electronics manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience with additional standards such as IATF 16949, AS9100, or ISO 13485.

  • Familiarity with PLEX ERP or similar quality system platforms.
