Overview
This is an intern level position. Intern will gain practical, hands-on experience in the utility industry under close supervision. This position will provide challenging assignments, networking opportunities, and a chance to learn from experienced energy industry professionals.
Responsibilities

Perform maintenance activities as required to maintain, repair, inspect, install, rebuild, construct, and troubleshoot various power plant equipment.

Assist in startup and shut down of plant equipment including monitoring and operating plant and responding to events and emergencies.

Assist in operating controls and devices for proper plant operation. Coordinate unit operation with Generation Dispatch and Transmission Operations as required.

Assist employees in carrying out work assignments.

Clean equipment undergoing repairs, handle and move material, supplies and equipment in connection with the work and work area.

Be able to learn to make and read simple drawings and sketches.

Prepare and take the Edison Electrical Institute (EEI) POSS/MASS test measuring job responsive aptitude, ability to retain knowledge, and problem solving skills.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a technical field. Applicable degree fields include Applied Process Technology, Engineering and Electronics Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 2.50 GPA.
