Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Substation P&C Commissioning Manager to join their team. To work on behalf of the project Owner as a Commissioning Manager on a portfolio of renewable energy (wind, solar, battery storage). This position is responsible for execution of assigned renewable power plant projects and teams as it relates to commissioning, start up and operational turnover.
Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring commissioning activities for assigned projects are performed with high quality and adhering to all companies' safety policies.

Responsible for coordination and management of, EPC contractor personnel, OEM start up personnel, third party start up contractors, and operations personnel on site, as it relates to site commissioning and startup.

Responsible for project reliability at operational turnover with plants exhibiting as little lost time as necessary in initial operation.

Responsible for compliance with all project contractual documents to include Power Purchase Agreement and Large Generator Interconnect Agreement deliverables with local utility

Ensure proper interface is made with Transmission Operators and Independent Service Operators to ensure project energization dates are achieved.

Management of Client’s onsite commissioning personnel

Interfaces with project's designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties

Performs other job-related duties as assigned
: $65-75/HR

Required Skillsets:

3+ years of Protection & Controls/Substation commissioning experience

3+ years relay testing preferably as a Relay Tech or Relay Engineer

Protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting experience

Proven track record and ability to interact with engineering personnel on highly technical issues, and then also interact with construction personnel on constructability, schedule, and cost issues as well • Engineering Degree
