Full job description

Union Position - Shifts assigned by Seniority

Must have manual machining experience.

All employees are required to:

  • Complete and pass a formal 6-month training program.

  • Follow written or verbal instructions, blueprints, and sketches, lays out work, builds and repairs tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and parts.

  • Builds and overhauls machinery.

  • Sets up and operates all tool room machines to specified tolerances.

  • Uses machinist's hand and power tools and measuring instruments.

  • Makes necessary mathematical calculations.

  • Performs welding, brazing, and heat-treating operations when required.

  • Works with operators and or setup leads on installation of new setups and revised setups.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Two (2) year technical degree or equivalent experience and two years practical experience with demonstration of skills in a work-based assessment.
