Full job description
Location: Tilbury, Ontario Compensation: $21.97 – $28.75 per hour + Shift Premiums
Schedule: This role follows a 12-hour continental rotating schedule and is based at our Tilbury, Ontario manufacturing facility.
About the Role Resilient Structures is looking for a motivated General Labourer to join our manufacturing team in Tilbury. In this role, you will help support day-to-day production activities by preparing materials, assisting with equipment operation, and ensuring finished products meet our quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing quality products while working safely and collaboratively.
As a member of our production team, you will help maintain efficient operations and contribute to a culture built on teamwork, respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support various production processes, including filament winding, drill and cut operations, mandrel preparation, extractor crane assistance, fiberglass handling, and module preparation
- Set up production equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and operate machinery according to established work instructions
- Inspect raw materials, work-in-progress, and completed products to verify quality standards and report any concerns
- Prepare poles, modules, and customer orders for shipment through cutting, drilling, nesting, packaging, and related finishing activities
- Organize and store materials to maintain an efficient and productive work area
- Complete routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, sealing, and maintaining equipment and tools
- Assist the Quality team with inspections, testing, and required documentation
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment when appropriately trained and certified
- Cross-train in other production areas and provide support where required
- Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping expectations
- Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous forklift/lift truck experience is required; overhead crane experience is considered an asset
- Manufacturing or industrial experience is preferred
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, including drills, saws, grinders, routers, and nailers
- Basic ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work with both metric and imperial measurements
- Physically capable of repeatedly lifting 30 kg or more
- Able to stand for extended periods and work in hot, humid, and changing manufacturing conditions
- Strong attention to detail with a dependable work ethic and the ability to work effectively within a team Working Environment
- Manufacturing facility with exposure to industrial equipment, heat, humidity, and moving machinery
- Regular handling of production materials with occasional exposure to chemicals used in the manufacturing process
- Physically active role involving standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
