Custodian, Customer Fulfillment Center - Monday - Friday - 6:00 am - 2:30 pm - $500.00 Sign-On Bonus

MSC is growing and going strong. We seek a team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment to perform daily receiving tasks, inspect shipments and verify correct items and quantities.

BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

The Custodian position will maintain the facility in a clean, orderly and sanitary manner.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Removes/cleans refuse, which may include bio-hazardous materials, from various warehouse departments.

• Cleans offices, restrooms, break rooms and other areas.

• Operates floor buffer, sweeper/scrubber and other cleaning tools.

• Inspects building for damages and reports to manager as necessary.

• Handles and uses cleaning materials including products with chemicals.

• Supports the Safety Culture by following established SOP's.

• Engages in the local Safety Culture through safety team support and offering safety suggestions.

• Assists department supervisors in identifying risk to associates or the business and mitigate those risks.

• Participates in work clean program.

• Performs all duties within safety guidelines.

• Performs to specified productivity and quality expectations.

• Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.

• Loads, unloads, moves product by hand.

• To meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions.

• Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or the equivalent required.

SKILLS:

• Basic computer skills required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Sitting, standing, walking, lifting materials (maximum 75 pounds individual or team lift), carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, climbing using legs and arms, balancing, stooping, kneeling, repeated bends, reaching high and low, and repetitive twisting or pressure, involving wrist and hands. Hearing, seeing (including depth perception and peripheral vision), ability of mental coordination. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required for position. Must be able to operate at heights up to 50 feet. Mentally alert for entire shift.

Compensation starting at $20.75 depending on candidate location and experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
