Job Description
Join a dynamic joint venture backed by one of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the world. This opportunity is in Camden, Arkansas. The Lead Engineer will provide technical leadership for a team supporting complex manufacturing and production operations involving mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical assemblies. This individual will partner closely with program leadership, operations, quality, supply chain, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive successful program execution, enhance production readiness, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires balancing technical excellence, schedule commitments, and quality standards to ensure reliable product delivery and operational success.
You will be responsible for:

Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting aerospace and defense manufacturing programs.

Provide technical leadership while driving project execution, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Partner with program management, manufacturing, quality, and customers to ensure successful delivery of engineering objectives.

Manage technical risks, engineering changes, and configuration control activities throughout the product lifecycle.

Support forecasting, project planning, performance metrics, and proposal development efforts.

Travel to manufacturing and supplier facilities to assess production readiness, process improvements, and operational performance.

Present technical updates and recommendations to leadership, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Compensation: $130,000-$150,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Minimum 10 years of engineering experience within the aerospace or defense industry.

Experience creating technical designs

Assist in engineering change notices and technical data packages (TDP)

Strong understanding of configuration management principles.
