Full job description
Essentra is a global manufacturer of plastic injection molded parts for a variety of industries, and we have approximately to 3,000 employees worldwide.
We are currently hiring a Quality Inspector in Erie, PA for 3rd Shift. The pay rate is $15.50-$17.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications plus a $2.00/hr shift differential.
Job Responsibilities Include:

Communication of quality requirements to Machine Operators and Supervisors as necessary.

Facilitation of Quality Documentation as needed (Quality and Manufacturing).

Filing/storage of production and inspection documents.
-
Perform First inspection of part and then document the result.

In-process attribute/functional gauging.

Isolation and documentation of nonconforming product.
-
Sorting and certifying rejected non-conforming product.
-
Perform related job duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Basic math skills with an ability to learn and effectively uses various quality tools like Vernier calipers, height gages and other measurement tools.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for writing and to maintain quality inspection log using one of these software tools.

Ability to comprehend function of part being inspected and be able to make decisions on quality and inspection procedure(s) to use.

Willingness to work overtime as needed

Reliable transportation to get to and from work at our Erie, PA location

Positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and strong communication skills

Able to read and follow instructions in English.

Excellent attendance record.

Willingness to learn/teach others.

A keen eye for detail.

Working knowledge of measuring tools.

High School diploma or GED
