JOB SUMMARY

The Workday Analyst combines hands-on Workday configuration expertise with technical build skills to support and evolve the organization's Workday HCM platform. This role partners with HR and cross-functional business stakeholders to gather requirements, configure and test system changes, and support integrations, reports, and calculated fields. The Analyst plays a key role in bi-annual release management, day-to-day system support, data integrity, and delivery of HR technology projects, reporting directly to the Manager, HR Technology.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather requirements, re-design current processes, and configure new functionality to support growing business operations.

  • Assist with ongoing Workday projects including application testing, implementation, enhancements/upgrades, report writing, and new functionality investigation and deployment.

  • Diagnose and resolve end-user, business process, and security issues; provide day-to-day support to HR and other Workday end-users.

  • Develop and maintain documentation of Workday business processes, configuration decisions, and support procedures.

  • Perform routine audits for system data validation and integrity, and partner with key stakeholders to make necessary corrections.

  • Assist with special projects and annual initiatives such as Open Enrollment, compensation review cycle, performance reviews, and year-end processing.

  • Configure and maintain business process framework, condition rules, and notifications across supported Workday modules.

  • Support Workday security architecture, including domain and business process security policies, role-based security groups, and periodic access reviews.

  • Monitor integration event logs and resolve errors.

  • Collaborate with other HRIT team members to research and resolve Workday system issues, unexpected results, or process flaws; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, IT, and other business teams to ensure Workday configuration aligns with policy, compliance, and reporting needs.

  • Serve as a subject-matter resource on Workday capabilities, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Support change management activities, including test scripts, training materials, and end-user communications.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Workday analyst/administrator responsible for configuration, testing, and support across several Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Extend, Payroll, and others).

  • Bachelors degree in information technology, human resources, business administration, or related field is required.

  • Working technical proficiency with Workday integrations.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate functional business requirements into system configuration and technical solutions.

  • Strong and effective written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
