Job Description

The Program Manager, Route Planner is responsible for planning up to 1500 routes a week. The routes are optimized paths for Brink’s messengers to deliver cash and/or other valuables to customers around the country based on their specific service contracts. This role will report to the Planning & Scheduling Leader – it is based in Coppell, TX. The Program Manager, Route Planner will be responsible for driving continuous route optimization for Brink’s branches of operation around the country. The Program Manager, Route Planner will own end-to-end relationships with branches, customers, and internal leaders across their region. They will work with schedulers and IT teams to develop and continuously improve the route optimization process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the core team in identifying route optimization protocols and other issues to be addressed

  • Drive continuous improvement in regional optimization through deep end-to-end understanding of regions serviced

  • Define KPIs and design dashboards to track them throughout the project

  • Help fix inaccurate customer information (e.g., service windows, location)

  • Set up the processes to update the route planning dashboards on a weekly basis

  • Ensure route efficiency through appropriate interaction with market employees and route analysis

  • Leverage systems, equipment and process redesign to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and efficiency

  • Maintain and provide quality customer service

  • Maintain positive Employee Relations and work environment, while creating a cooperative team atmosphere of employee engagement

  • Maintain the highest level of integrity, dignity and standards both on an internal and external basis; maintain high ethical standards and protect the Brink’s reputation by delivering high quality, reliable programs and services which meet customer expectations Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, engineering, or minimum of 2 years experience in supply-chain or transportation planning

  • Experience with analyzing route planning outputs and information

  • 5+ years’ experience in supply chain planning software

  • Experience with customer issue resolution

  • Knowledge of route analysis and logistics

  • Knowledge in supply chain analytics

  • Masters Degree or equivalent level of experience in supply-chain planning
