As our new Manufacturing Engineering Technician , you will be supporting and strengthening production operations by improving manufacturing processes, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing engineering changes to ensure efficient assembly and testing of pumps and related components. What you will be doing

As a key part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll create impact by driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency across our production lines, directly supporting Grundfos's mission to pioneer solutions to the world's water and climate challenges.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering staff to coordinate design projects and strengthen shop floor production operations, assessing performance and promoting continual improvement.

  • Conduct time studies, analyze production data, and develop work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation to improve efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and process issues to minimize downtime.

  • Support new product introductions and engineering change implementation on the production floor.

  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues, and coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration activities.

  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives and ensure compliance with all EHS and environmental management system requirements.

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a hands-on problem solver with manufacturing experience, strong analytical skills, and a drive for continuous improvement in a production environment. We would also imagine that you have:

  • Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field (or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's in Engineering).

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

It is a plus if you also have:

  • Familiarity with welding, CNC machining, and assembly operations.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience conducting time studies or production data analysis.

Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range for this position is $26 to $34 USD hourly. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Certain roles are eligible to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization.
