Full job description

Job Summary

Under supervision the Tax Officer will prepare tax workpapers for Regulated Investment Companies (“RICs”).

  • Prepare income and excise tax provisions and estimates for RICs
  • Prepare asset diversification and gross income qualification tests for RICs
  • Prepare year end shareholder reporting calculations to provide to transfer agents for production of Form 1099-DIV
  • Assist with audits and provide support as necessary
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of mutual funds and financial markets
  • Respond proactively to internal and external client inquiries
  • Complete training sessions to increase industry knowledge
  • Work on special projects, other regulatory filings and ad hoc requests as assigned

Qualifications

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related area or equivalent work experience
  • Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel
