Passenger Service Technician

Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $18–$25 per hour

Job Description and Responsibilities

McCarthy Tire is seeking a motivated Passenger Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, tire services, and mechanical repairs while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform passenger tire installation, repair, rotation, balancing, and replacement

• Inspect and test vehicles to identify maintenance and repair needs

• Complete preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and engine tune-ups

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions

• Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems

• Ensure compliance with state vehicle safety, engine, and emissions requirements

• Maintain accurate service and repair records

• Keep shop equipment operational by performing routine maintenance and reporting repair needs

• Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with ordering as needed

• Stay current on industry knowledge through training and technical publications

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Other Duties

Additional responsibilities may arise as part of the role. Candidates should be flexible and prepared to take on new challenges as needed.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Valid driver's license

• Must have your own tools

• Experience with passenger service tires preferred

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Work Authorization

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
