The Opportunity

We are currently building a talent pool for future DevOps opportunities across Engineer to Lead levels within our team. This is an opportunity to be considered for upcoming roles and contribute to shaping the future of Sysco’s customer experience from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

• Research ing, evaluating and r ecommend ing DevOps tools in multiple technologies for multiple development teams

• Deploying, automating, mai ntaining and managing AWS cloud- based production system s , to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems

• Build ing , releas ing and configuration m anagement of production systems that need to be supported 24* 7 uptime

• Ensuring critical system security using the best - in - class cloud security solutions

• Coaching development teams in DevOps practices and guiding the tea m to implement effective DevOps

• Work ing collaboratively in a cross - functional team in an Agile delivery environment

• B e ing involve d in projects throughout their full software lifecycle : from development, QA, and deployment , to post-production support

• Ensur ing OS stability and hardening configuration on both Windows and Linux

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and for SE - 1-2 Years, for SSE 2-4 Years, ATL - 4-6 Years and for TL 6-8 years of experience in DevOps

• A s trong knowledge o f AWS , Azure cloud computing and AWS /Azure DevOps tools

• Strong knowledge in fundamental DevOps tools such as AWS /Azure DevOps tools, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, Datadog, Experience working with cloud SDKs etc.

• Strong knowledg e o f containerization of software packages using solutions such as Dockerization , Kubernetes , AWS ECS , AWS Fargate , etc.

• Hands - on experience designing, developing, testing and troubleshooting DevOps tools in production systems

• Adherence to enginee ring standards and best practices ; must be process oriented

• Troubleshooting skills on Windows and Linux operating systems (Preferred Windows background on AD, Clustering , Failovering , Security , Patching etc . )

• Strong communication skills – reading & comprehending documents/specifications, producing clear and thorough documentation, with the ability to discuss and explain technical issues during meetings

• 2 + years of experience with one of the dynamic object-oriented programing languages like Groovy, Ruby or Python. Experience with a programming language like Java, C#, Node.js JavaScript and related web frameworks will be an added advantage
