Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 9330 US HIGHWAY 301 S City: RIVERVIEW State: Florida Postal Code: 33578 Job Description:

  • Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, by monitoring and maintaining unit compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, hospital policies while coordinating staff education to maintain competencies and preparedness.
  • Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care.
  • Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
  • Promotes evidence-based practice, ensuring quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of safety, compassion, and continuous learning.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates, address concerns and provide guidance. Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Manages budgets and resources efficiently to meet financial and operational goals.
  • Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills, creativity, and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations.
  • Fosters a culture of psychological safety, where the team members feel supported, valued, empowered to speak up, share concerns, and contribute meaningfully.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess a broad nursing knowledge, leadership ability, accepts responsibility, exercises authority, and functions independently. [Required]
  • Possess insight for employee growth and development and the ability to do effective impartial counseling. [Required]
  • Working knowledge of budgets and healthcare finance and leadership capabilities. [Required]
  • Has ability to work a varied schedule, to include night and weekend hours, with visibility to all shifts. [Required]
  • Must be able to use all systems (i.e. Clairvia, Capacity Management) as required on unit. [Required]

Education:

  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years prior leadership experience in team leader role [Required]
  • 5+ years acute care nursing experience [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]

Pay Range:

$37.39 - $69.54 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
