Full job description

Our Client, a Retail Pharmacy company, is looking for a Pharmacy Tech I: Filling for their Redlands, CA location. Responsibilities:

  • Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescription, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with the CLIENT specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.

  • Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.

  • Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices.

  • Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant (packer-20% of the week)) as needed.

  • Responsible for preparing and/or restocking the filling station with medications and/or supplies as needed.

  • Responsible for cleaning all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areas. center experience; preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.

  • This position takes in-coming calls from members, providers, etc providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.

Requirements:

  • Minimum (1) year experience required in a customer service position with high volume call center experience; preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.

  • Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.

  • Must have Pharmacy Tech License in CA (National is not accepted per Client policy)
