Full job description
The purpose of this position is to provide rework/repair soldering support to Vanguard EMS, Inc. in a timely manner, rework and repair components on printed circuit boards to specification, inspect own work to guarantee conformation to company quality standards, and provide overall stewardship of the assets to our shareholders.

Requirements
What you’ll do:

Perform removal and replacement of BGA and bottom termination components
-
Perform reword/repair of pads, traces, and barrels; SMT and through hole components; masks, bonding, and conformal coat; and other repairs, often under a microscope or over a hot plate.

Perform Mods with direction from manufacturing engineer

Be a willing contributor in all continuous improvement, training and other workplace programs

Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers
-
Ensure benches, tools and equipment are maintained and in good working condition

Maintain a clean and highly organized area and performs other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:

Ability to self-manage, problem-solve, and work accurately with numbers.

Detail-orientation, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.

Ability to prioritize/organize several activities to meet daily requirements and work overtime when needed
-
Demonstrated ability to interface with multiple levels of personnel throughout manufacturing required.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Effectively manipulate extremely small and/or fragile components and tools.

Ability to use visual aids, complicated drawings to verify quality products.
Education and/or Experience
-
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
-
Ability to obtain J-STD and IPC certification within 90 days.

Ability to obtain IPC7711/7721
Preferred Qualifications

Three or more years of experience with electronic components preferred

IPC Certification

Experience soldering lead-free components
